HM Revenue & Customs is now very aggressive in the area of PAYE and NIC compliance. They commonly impose financial settlements for the last six years to collect tax, NIC, interest and penalties on any errors that they uncover. Many of the problems that they discover can be easily avoided. Accordingly, I can offer your clients a PAYE/NIC Healthcheck service to give them some comfort that their procedures stand up to scrutiny. Typically occupying a day - including a four hour interview with your client - the Healthcheck includes a review of payroll procedures, benefits in kind, forms P11D, dispensations, expense payments and a review of compliance with NIC regulations.
